I have three of these little computers, bought in a fit of creative fantasy. Low power, barebones, they’re built for learning and experimenting. And that’s what I plan to use them for with this project.
In addition to the inexpensive hardware, the Raspberry Pi foundation provide a version of the Debian Linux-flavored operating system called Raspbian and detailed guidance on how to install the OS on a microSD card and then how to install and configure the base set of software that you need to make the thing work.
For the most part, I used the software and followed the guidance published on the Raspberry Pi website and supplemented it with other pages found on the internet to address specific elements of the project. I’ll link and give credit in line.
